Commercial Defects

Commercial structural defects is applicable to Victorian Commercial Builders.

A requirement of Victorian legislation in obtaining a commercial builder license is that the applying practitioner carries structural defects insurance.

The policy is an annual cover and the premium is determined on the level of structural work included in a commercial project. The minimum cover under the legislation is $1,000,000.

The cover is not available in other states.
